Kentucky Car Accidents
Car accidents are an unfortunate daily reality in Kentucky, with over 150,000 crashes reported across the state each year. Of those, around 25,000 result in injuries, and approximately 700 lives are lost annually. On a national scale, the numbers are even more sobering—more than 6 million accidents occur each year, injuring roughly 3 million people and claiming over 40,000 lives.
Sadly, the vast majority of these collisions—over 90%—are preventable. They’re caused by negligent driving behaviors that put lives at risk every day. Common forms of negligence include driving under the influence, distracted driving, speeding, and operating a vehicle while fatigued. In fact, driver negligence is responsible for more than 70% of fatal accidents nationwide.
Every year, millions of innocent people suffer because of the careless actions of others behind the wheel. When a driver fails to act responsibly, they endanger not only themselves but everyone else on the road.
