Campton, KY – Fatal Crash Takes Two Lives on KY 15 near Hunting Fork Rd

Campton, KY (January 6, 2025) – On January 3, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a traffic accident happened in Campton that turned out to be fatal.

Reports show it occurred on KY 15 South near Hunting Fork Road. Kentucky State Police along with members of the Wolfe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash scene. They determined that a White Ford Fusion driven by Carl Osborn, 39, of Thornton, was headed north on KY 15 when he was involved in a head-on crash with a Chevrolet Express Van operated by 37-year-old David Lemus Castro. Both drivers lost their lives at the crash scene by the WOlkfe County Coroner.

A passenger inside the van was taken to Kentucky River Medical Center by ambulance and later airlifted to UC Medical Center to be treated for chemical burns. The Wolfe County Fire and EMS were also seen working at the crash scene. Police in Campton continue to investigate the details of the accident.
