Louisville, KY - Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Wreck on Dixie Hwy near Dixie Garden Dr

Louisville, KY (December 18, 2024) – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in critical condition on Tuesday evening, December 17, in Louisville. Police were sent to the scene at approximately 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of the Dixie Highway and Dixie Garden Drive.

When they arrived at the scene, police officers found a motorcycle and a Jeep that had been involved in a crash. Investigators believe the Jeep was headed south on Dixie when it turned into the path of the motorcyclist while it was attempting to turn left into a Kroger parking lot. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike when the crash happened, police said. He was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition. All lanes of the Dixie Highway near the Geen Snyder Freeway were closed while police worked to investigate and clear the scene.
